La consola de Exchange chequea por algun porceso de ventana visible antes de cerrarla, debido a que una ventana oculta de Internet Explorer 9 es considerada como ventana visible, este problema ocurre

Con un hotfix, lo he probado en el lab y luegoen producción y funciona perfecto, ojo que pide reinicio de server.

• Outlook Web App (OWA) Mini A browse-only version of OWA designed for low bandwidth and resolution devices. Based on the existing Exchange 2010 SP1 OWA infrastructure, this feature provides a simple text based interface to navigate the user’s mailbox and access to the global address list from a plurality of mobile devices.
• Cross-Site Silent Redirection for Outlook Web App With Service Pack 2, you will have the ability to enable silent redirection when CAS must redirect an OWA request to CAS infrastructure located in another Active Directory site.  Silent redirection can also provide a single sign-on experience when Forms-Based Authentication is used.
• Hybrid Configuration Wizard Organizations can choose to deploy a hybrid scenario where some mailboxes are on-premises and some are in Exchange Online with Microsoft Office 365. Hybrid deployments may be needed for migrations taking place over weeks, months or indefinite timeframes. This wizard helps simplify the configuration of Exchange sharing features, like: calendar and free/busy sharing, secure mailflow, mailbox moves, as well as online archive.
• Address Book Policies Allows organizations to segment their address books into smaller scoped subsets of users providing a more refined user experience than the previous manual configuration approach. We also blogged about this new feature recently in GAL Segmentation, Exchange Server 2010 and Address Book Policies.
• Customer Requested Fixes All fixes contained within update rollups released prior to Service Pack 2 will also be contained within SP2. Details of our regular Exchange 2010 release rhythm can be found in Exchange 2010 Servicing.

In order to support these newly added features, there will be a requirement for customers to update their Active Directory schema. We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear from our customers on multiple occasions regarding delays that can be caused to deployment as a result of needing to update your schema and as such with the release of Exchange 2010 SP2 are communicating the required changes ahead of release in order to assist our customers with planning their upgrade path ahead of time.
We hope these announcements come as welcome news to you. It is our custom to provide ongoing improvements to features, functionality and security of Exchange Server, based largely on customer feedback, and to provide continual innovation on an already great messaging product. We look forward to receiving your comments and announcing more detailed information as we continue to develop the features that will be included in SP2.

Earlier today the Exchange CXP team released Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 SP3 to the Download Center.

This update contains a number of customer-reported and internally found issues since the release of RU4. See 'KB 2602324: Description of Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3' for more details.

We would like to specifically call out the following fixes which are included in this release:

• DST: New updates for August DST - Exchange 2007
• 2536695 "Some items cannot be deleted" error message when you try to delete or modify an email message in a public folder in an Exchange Server 2007 environment

Cuando Windows necesita instalar un nuevo Root Certificate desde esta lista, abre una conexión hacia Windows Update y baja el root certificate que necesita y crea un evento en el event log con source CAPI2 y IDs 4100 y 4097 .

después de mover una casilla desde Exchange 2003 a Exchange 2010, manteniendo nuestro Outlook 2003 como cliente, y haber trabajado con varios calendarios compartidos, al querer abrír el segundo calendadio compartido obtenemos el siguiente error:

This updated release is being made available after a complete review and revalidation of the list of fixes included in the previously released version of Rollup 4 dated June 22, 2011.
The review completed by the Exchange CXP team determined that the issue identified in 'KB 2581545: The copy or move operation on a folder that contains subfolders does not work as expected after you install Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 SP1 dated June 22, 2011’ introduced a serious regression in the original release of Rollup 4. As a result, a new version of Rollup 4 dated July 23, 2011 has been tested and released with the change that caused the regression removed. The re-release of Rollup 4 is tracked by 'KB 2579150: Description of Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1'.
The updated Rollup 4 is being released to allow customers to install the list of fixes previously committed to on the normal rollup schedule using normal rollup installation routines without the need for further action. The re-released version of Rollup 4 is functionally equivalent to the combination of the original Rollup 4 release and (the interim updatein) KB 2581545. Here are answers to some install questions:

• Customers who have installed KB 2509910 (Rollup 4, dated June 22, 2011) and KB2581545 (fix for Rollup 4 regression) do not need to install KB 2579150 (re-released Rollup 4) but may do so if they choose to.
• Customers who have already installed KB 2581545 and want to update their systems to the updated Rollup 4 should first uninstall KB 2581545 (or any interim updates) prior to installing the new rollup.
• You do not need to uninstall original RU4 (KB 2509910) to install the re-released RU4 package (KB2579150).
• The re-release of Rollup 4 does not change the release plans for Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1. Rollup 5 is currently scheduled to release in August 2011.

NEWS !!! AGAIN!!!! Exchange 2010 SP1 RU4 Removed from Download Center

We have discovered an issue impacting some customers who have installed Exchange 2010 SP1 RU4 into their Exchange environment and as a result have removed SP1 RU4 from Download Center and recommend customers do not proceed with any planned deployments of SP1 RU4.

A small number of customers have reported when the Outlook client is used to move or copy a folder that subfolders and content for the moved folder are deleted. After investigation we have determined that the folder and item contents do not appear in the destination folder as expected but may be recovered from the Recoverable Items folder (what was previously known as Dumpster in older versions of Exchange) from the original folder. This behavior occurs due to a customer requested change in SP1 RU4 which allowed deleted Public Folders to be recovered. Outlook and Exchange are not correctly processing the folder move and copy operations causing the folder contents to appear to be deleted. OWA and Exchange Web Services clients are not affected by this change and process the folder move or copy actions correctly.

¿Cómo borrar solo un buzón desconectado de una base de datos en Exchange 2010?

Buenos días amig@s .....con muuuucho frío en Buenos Aires. Como tod@s sabemos la forma de purgar buzones desconectados ha cambiado desde la versión 2003, para la version 2010 (tambien para 2007) exite un cmd-let llamado Clean-Database , este comando puraga todos los buzones desconectados de la base de datos, recuperando ese espacio. Me ocurrió el caso que necesité solo purgar algunos buzones y no todos los desconectados de la base de datos, ya que política de la empresa puede neceitar que los buzones borrados permanezcan desconectados por 30 días. Entonces la forma de purgar buzones particulares lo podemos hacer en dos pasos, con el comando Remove-StoreMailbox :

1. [PS] C:\>Get-MailboxStatistics -Database "MBX1DB05" | Where-Object {$_.DisconnectDate -Notlike $NULL} | FL DisplayName,DisconnectDate, MailboxGuid

Mensajes encolados en algunas Base de Datos sin ser entregados en Exchange 2010

 Amig@s...Vuelvo a postear después de un mes....

Después de una semana sin backups en nuestros Exchange 2010 server, vemos como poco a poco el espacio en los discos de logs se va consumiendo.
Repentinamente vemos que correos hacia las bases que no podemos backpear, no son entregados y que comienzan a encolarse desde los HUBs hacia esas bases, quedando las colas en estado Retry sin poder conectarse.
Como primer medida tratamos de hacer switchover con resultados negativos, al reiniciar el servicio de submission en el MBX server vemos el evento de abajo:

Available disk space for the database logs is extremely low. Message delivery to the database may be stopped.

Esto se debe a la configuración del"Back Pressure"

Monitor Samsung 932 NW 19'' no tiene señal de video ( para técnicos electrónicos .o no)

Volviendo a mi antigüa pasión..la electrónica, me pasó con mi monitor Samsung syncMaster 932 nw de 19 pulg. que lo tenía desde hace un año, y hace unos días cuando enciendo la pc, no se observa nada absolutamente y luego de algunos minutos (varios 5 o tal vez 10), aparece recién el escritorio.
Ultimamente luego de unos minutos el monitor pasaba a STAND BY, luego de un tiempo el monitor enciende pero no muestra imagen, en un principio pensé que era la placa de video, pero hoy me doy con que es el monitor.
Despues de desarmarlo veo que el porblema está en la fuente del monitor, y en los dos capacitores electrolíticos de salida de la fuente (1000 microfaradios x 10 v)...felizmente quedó arreglado :)

We may happen that an user accidentally delete his LCS/OCS2007 's contacts from MOC 2005/2007 distracted or an administrator deleted it or has moved the user from one environment to another, and simply he lost these contacts (by forcing the movement.)
Another thing that can happen is that the user move from one environment to another several times, he/she can not connect with their MOC clients.
In short, we can recover these contacts if you do a pre-export the database to a file and then just import the affected user.

Nos puede pasar que por error un usuario de LCS/OCS2007 borre sus contactos desde su MOC 2005/2007 o que un administrador distraído los borre o que al mover al usuario de un entorno al otro , simplemente se pierdan (al forzar el movimiento).
Otra cosa que pued pasar es que al mover el usuario desde un entorno al otro varias veces, el mismo no pueda conectarse con su cliente MOC.
En definitiva, podemos recuperar dichos contactos si de antemano hacemo una exportación de la base de datos a un archivo y luego solo importamos el usuario afectado.
Usando la herramienta que viene en las support tools de LCS/OCS dbimpexp.exe

Nos hemos dado cuenta de un problema que afecta a las herramientas de administración de Exchange en servidores que ejecutan Exchange 2010 en Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Nota: Windows 2008 R2 sistemas no parecen verse afectados.

Los síntomas del problema son:

• Exchange 2010 management no se inicia
• Puede haber un problema en el buzón de Exchange Replication Service (no está claro todavía si esto está relacionado)
• Visor de sucesos puede tener problemas para abrirlo
